Missing Margaret Connors: Fears for teen with distinctive birth mark on her face

Police are growing increasingly concerned about the safety of a missing teenager who was last seen a week ago.

Margaret Connors, who has a distinctive birth mark on the right side of her face below her eye, is still believed to be in the Derby area, according to police.

The 14-year-old, who is also known as Katie Cash, was last seen in Derby city centre on August 14.

The blonde-haired, blue-eyed girl speaks with an Irish accent and also has links to the Northampton area, said police.

It is the second time this month that Margaret has been reported missing to police.

A Derbyshire Police spokesperson said: "We are concerned for the safety of Margaret Connors, who is also known as Katie Cash.

"Margaret is around 14 years old and was last seen in St Peter’s Street, Derby, on Wednesday, 14 August.

"She is described as being around 5ft tall, of slim build, with long blonde hair and blue eyes.

"She speaks with an Irish accent and has a distinctive birth mark on the right-hand side of her face.

"Margaret is believed to still be in Derby, however, she also has links to the Northampton area.

"If you have seen her, or know of her whereabouts, phone us on 101 with reference number 929 of 2 August."

On Facebook , the force said Margaret has been reported missing twice this month.

A spokesperson wrote: "Margaret was reported as missing last week and officers saw she was safe and well.

"She has since been reported as missing to us again which is why we have re-issued an appeal to help find her."
