Missing man urged to make contact as fears mount for his safety

Police are becoming increasingly concerned for the safety of a Widnes man not seen since Monday.

Stephen Evans, 36, is described as white, about 5ft 9ins tall and of medium to large build.

He has a beard and was wearing black jeans, black trainers, black zip-up hooded top and black gilet when last seen at 5.36am on Monday.

Stephen was also carrying a black backpack.

A Cheshire police spokesperson said officers have been making extensive enquiries to find Stephen and are growing "increasingly concerned" for his welfare.

Detective Sergeant Marc Roberts said: “We are becoming increasingly concerned for the welfare of Stephen and would urge anyone who has seen him or knows of his whereabouts to contact Cheshire police.

"I’d also urge Stephen to please get in touch.

"Your family are worried about you.”
