Missing man traced by police

A man who went missing from Bishopton yesterday morning has been found.

Brian Gaw was reported missing from the Renfrewshire village at around 11.15am.

Police Scotland had issued a public appeal for information on his whereabouts.

He was last seen on foot on the playing fields behind the Co-op on Greenock Road, Bishopton.

But officers confirmed last night that the 47 year old had been traced safe and well.

Officers thanked the public for their assistance.
