Missing man's body found in undergrowth near Caerau Primary School

The body of a man has been found near a primary school.

South Wales Police said the man was found in undergrowth near a school in Caerau, Bridgend, earlier on Friday. The body has been confirmed as that of 66-year-old local man Allan Burgess, who was reported missing last night.

His death is not believed to be suspicious and the coroner has been informed, police said. The family of Mr Burgess are being supported at this time.

Earlier on Friday, a message sent to parents from management at Caerau Primary School, on Library Road, Caerau, said a "situation has occurred outside the school" and that all pupils would be dismissed from the front gates this afternoon.
