Missing man may be in Edinburgh after disappearing from Balloch home

A man missing from Balloch may have travelled to Edinburgh by train, according to police as officers issued a second appeal for information on his whereabouts.

Joe Feeney has not been seen since leaving home in Clairinsh on Wednesday, September 29 and fears are growing over his welfare.

The 54-year-old is known to have travelled to Uddingston and was spotted in a shop on Main Street in the town at around 1:15pm that afternoon.

He was later seen walking onto Lower Millgate Road, however his onward movements are unknown and police now believe he may have chosen to travel to the Capital.

Officers are desperate to speak to anyone who may know Mr Feeney or know where he is.

He is described as being around 5'9 in height with a slim build and was thought to be wearing a a dark waterproof coat, dark t-shirt and fleece, dark trousers and shoes at the time of his disappearance.

He may also have been carrying a black rucksack style bag.
