Missing man Frank Hoyle last seen in Hunter

Frank Hoyle, 70, was last seen at West Wallsend on Thursday.

Police are appealing for help in the search for a missing man last seen in the Hunter this week.

Frank Hoyle, 70, was driving from Queensland to Frenchs Forest on Sydney's Northern Beaches when he was last seen at West Wallsend about 4pm on Thursday.

Police were called and an investigation began when Mr Hoyle failed to contact a family member.

A car similar to the one Mr Hoyle was believed to have been driving when he was last seen.

There is concern for his welfare due to a medical condition.

Mr Hoyle is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 170cm tall, thin build, bald, blue eyes and speaks with an English accent.

He was last seen wearing an orange/brown shirt and navy blue dress pants. He was also wearing prescription glasses.

The vehicle he was driving was a blue Kia Rio hatchback with Queensland registration 331-BF7.

Anyone who has information regarding possible the whereabouts Mr Hoyle is being asked to call Northern Beaches Police Area Command on (02) 9971 3399 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
