A person who had gone missing on April 1 was found dead on Tuesday at Gooranahalli in Channarayapatna taluk. The deceased has been identified as Pratap Gowda, 29, of Gooranahalli.
Pratap had been to his sister’s place at Doddayaraganalu on April 1 and from then his cell phone had been switched off. He did not come back home. His family members filed a complaint with the police on April 4 stating that he had gone missing.
His mother Chandramma and others found Pratap dead at Gooranahalli on Tuesday. It is suspected that unknown people murdered him and left his body hanging from a tree in forest area. His body was in decomposed condition.
Pratap’s mother Chandramma has filed a complaint with Channarayapatna Rural police stating that her son was murdered by relatives over a property dispute. The police have registered the murder case.
