Missing man caught on train station CCTV after he vanished

These CCTV stills capture the last known movements of a Wirral man who has been missing since July 28.

Alex Boston, 43, from Moreton in Wirral, was last seen at Cherry Tree Shopping Centre in Wallasey, at around 10.30pm on Wednesday, July 28, when he got on a cross-river bus service and may have travelled to Liverpool.

A police appeal was issued for anyone with information as to his whereabouts to come forward on July 29, and despite further sightings, Alex has still not been found.

Merseyside Police has now issued CCTV footage of Alex at Liverpool Lime Street and Moreton train stations on Thursday, August 5, and is appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

When last seen, Alex was wearing a grey cardigan, tight grey jogging bottoms and black trainers and was carrying a Home and Bargain bag for life and is believed to have links to the Huyton, Bootle and Southport areas.

A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: "Please share and help us find missing Wirral man Alex Boston.

"We are issuing new CCTV images from Moreton and Liverpool Lime Street stations, from Thursday 5 August.

"43-year-old Alex was last seen at Cherry Tree Shopping Centre in Wallasey, boarding the 432 bus at around 10.30pm yesterday (Wednesday 28 July), but may have travelled to the Liverpool area

"He is described as white male, 5ft 9in tall, slim build, with receding hair, stubble and missing front teeth.

"We are increasingly concerned about Alex’s whereabouts."
