Missing Lanarkshire teen Sophie O'Hagan found safe and well

The search for a missing East Kilbride teenager has come to an end as police last night confirmed she has been found.

Sophie O’Hagan went missing from her home in Elphinstone Crescent around 8.30pm on Christmas Day.

The 17-year-old has now been traced and is said to be safe and well.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: "Following our previous appeal, we can confirm that missing 17-year-old Sophie O’Hagan from East Kilbride has been traced safe and well.

"We would like to thank those who assisted with sharing our appeal."
