Missing Kilmarnock man Greg Campbell's body found at farm

Police have today confirmed that missing Kilmarnock man Greg Campbell's body has been found.

The 27-year-old was discovered at a farm in the nearby village of Kilmaurs last night and it's believed there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.

He had been last seen at his mother's house in Knockentiber yesterday morning.

A missing person appeal was issued later in the day but the search came to a tragic end shortly before 10pm.

A Police Scotland statement said: "Around 9.50pm on Wednesday, June 5, the body of a man was found at a farm near Kilmaurs, Kilmarnock.

"The body is believed to be that of 27-year-old Greg Campbell who was reported missing from Kilmarnock and last seen around 9am on Wednesday, June 5.

"The family have been made aware.

"There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal."
