Missing Kai Rae found as police say Cambuslang teenager is safe and well

Missing teenager Kai Rae has been found, with police this afternoon confirming the 16-year-old is safe and well.

The teenager, from Cambuslang in Glasgow's east end, was reported missing from his home on Monday, November 23.

Police made a number of appeals to the public, and yesterday advised he was seen getting into a taxi in London on the day of his disappearance.

His family were deeply concerned and said Kai's disappearance was 'completely out of character', however thankfully he has now been traced.

Inspector Stephen McManus of the Lanarkshire Police Division this afternoon advised: "I'm pleased to confirm that Kai Rae (16) who was reported missing from Cambuslang has been #traced safe and well.

"I'd like to thank the public and media for sharing our earlier appeals. Your support was much appreciated".
