Missing in Bristol: The people who disappeared and never returned

Thousands of people go missing every year in the UK.

However, the majority are thankfully found or return within just 48 hours of disappearing.

Despite this, there are still cases where families and friends are separated for weeks, months, years, or tragically forever.

As the first month of the new decade ends, Bristol Live is highlighting all the people still missing in the area, as of January 2020, in the hope they can be found and one day reunite with their loved ones.

Timothy Foote

Timothy left Southmead Hospital in the afternoon of June 9 2010 and was never seen again.

Ngoc Bui

Ngoc went missing from Bristol two and a half years ago.

Simon Baker

Simon was thought to have been suffering from depression when he disappeared in 2009. Police believe he could have travelled to Stockwood.

Selina McDonald

Selina was last seen leaving her home and heading towards the Royal Hotel in Pier Road. Her mobile phone, purse and medication were discovered at the beach later that day.

Hoang Vo

Hoang was just 17 when he went missing from the Fishponds area of Bristol.

Laura Haines

The mother-of-two disappeared one evening, leaving her children with her boyfriend and a note saying she had "failed". She has not been seen since.

MISSING FROM: Westfield Park, Redland

Linda Millard

Linda, 48, was last seen in Portishead, where she was staying with friends, at about 9.30am on Friday, March 1, 1996. She previously lived in the Swanage area of Dorset.

Linda was reported as missing at about 10pm on March 1. A short time later, officers found her car – a white Austin Mini Metro - and some of her personal possessions near Battery Point in Portishead. She has not been seen since.

In March this year, police revealed foul play could not be ruled out in the search for her.
