Missing Glasgow man Anthony McCurry: Police search for 33-year-old not seen since July

Police are urging members of the public to help in the search for missing Glasgow man Anthony McCurry.

Anthony hasn't been seen since the afternoon of Wednesday, July 28 in the Moodiesburn Street area of Blackhill in the north east of the city.

Police say his family are growing increasingly concerned for the 33-year-old, who is described as white, of medium build, around 6ft 2ins with short brown hair.

Anthony is understood to have connections in the Provanmill Road area of Glasgow.

A police appeal published this evening reads: "Police Scotland is asking for the help of members of the public to trace a 33-year-old man reported missing from the Blackhill area of Glasgow.

"Anthony McCurry was last seen in the early afternoon of Wednesday, 28 July, in the Moodiesburn Street area. He has connections in the Provanmill Road area.

"He is described as white, of medium build, around 6ft 2ins with short brown hair. When he was last seen he was wearing a blue hoodie with a zip, a black t-shirt and blue jeans. He may have since changed his clothing."

Sergeant David Leslie, said: "We are asking for the help of the public to find Anthony as his family is becoming increasingly concerned as he has not been in touch for some time.

"If you can help, or if Anthony hears of this appeal, please call us on 101, quoting incident 1967 of Thursday, 5 August."
