Missing Glasgow man Anthony McCurry: Police reappeal to trace 33-year-old not seen since July

Police Scotland is continuing with enquiries to trace a missing Glasgow man who has not been seen for over two weeks.

Anthony McCurry, 33, hasn't been seen since the afternoon of Wednesday, July 28 in the Moodiesburn Street area of Blackhill in the north east of the city.

He was reported missing to police on Thursday, 5 August, and since then extensive enquiries have been conducted to trace his current whereabouts.

Police describe Anthony as white, of medium build, around 6ft 2ins with short brown hair. When he was last seen he was wearing a blue hoodie with a zip, a black t-shirt and blue jeans. He may have since changed his clothing.

He is understood to have connections in the Provanmill Road area of Glasgow.

Sergeant Colin Thapar said: “We are becoming increasingly concerned for Anthony’s welfare as the passage of time he has been missing increases.

“Officers have conducted a number of enquiries in areas Anthony is known to frequent, however we are seeking to piece together his movements over the past two weeks in our efforts to trace him.

“I would issue a plea to anyone who has seen Anthony, or a man matching his description, to report this sighting to police so that we can investigate.”

Those with information should report this to Police Scotland on 101 and quote incident number 1967 of 5 August 2021.
