Missing girls who were 'at risk of harm' have been found in Scotland after man arrested for 'people trafficking'

Two missing teen cousins who reportedly had been taken to Scotland and were at risk of harm have been found.

Earlier today we told how police launched a national search for the girls, who are named only as 15-year-old Andreea and her cousin, 16-year-old Izabela.

Police arrested a man on suspicion of people trafficking and detectives were becoming “increasingly concerned” for the safety of the youngsters.

Metropolitan Police have confirmed that the pair have thankfully been found safe and well at an address in Dundee.

Officers added that a 20-year-old man has been arrested and remains in police custody.

We previously told how Andreea was last seen on Friday, October 1 at her home in Canterbury, Kent, while Izabela was last seen on Sunday, October 3 in Harrow, west London.

Police believed the girls may have been taken outside of London by people who could do them harm, with Dundee listed as one possible location.

On Tuesday the Metropolitan Police arrested a 54-year-old man on suspicion of people trafficking and he remains in custody in London.

He was charged on Thursday with child abduction and modern slavery.

A ‘high risk’ missing person investigation was launched and officers were now pursuing a number of lines of enquiry to locate the two girls before they were found in Scotland.
