Missing Clarkston pensioner with dementia was last seen wearing grey fleece

A major police search is underway to trace a vulnerable pensioner who suffers from dementia .

Rose Quinn was last seen outside her home in The Oval in Clarkston, East Renfrewshire at around 4.15pm on Thursday.

The 81-year-old is described as around four feet, ten inches and of slim build with grey hair.

She was last seen wearing a grey fleece.

Sergeant Graeme Waite said: "Rose has dementia and therefore may appear confused.

"She has previously been reported missing and was found in the Shawlands area.

"We believe she will be on foot but may have walked a far distance since she was last seen.

"We are appealing for anyone who may have seen her to get in touch with us as soon as possible so we can make sure she is safe and well."

Anyone with any information should contact Police via 101, quoting incident number 2917 of Thursday, January 9.
