A toddler has been found after going missing in Co Tyrone.

A police appeal had been launched after the three-year-old was last seen around 3.35pm on Stewart Avenue in Cookstown.

The PSNI issued an update a short time later to say the boy had been found.

A police spokesman said: "Fantastic effort from everyone in Stewart Avenue, Cooke Crescent and beyond.

"The missing wee lad has been located. Superb and fast reaction from everyone in helping with the search. Thank you."
