The new Chaser Darragh Ennis was forced to take to social media yesterday after fears grew among fans that he'd been sacked from the show.
Darragh hasn't been on the show for several days leading to viewers worrying he'd been shelved.
But Darragh took to Twitter to deny the rumours, he said: "Sigh. I've not been sacked.
"The nature of random scheduling means sometimes we don't have a show air for a little while, and sometimes we're on 2 or 3 times in a week."
His comment came after fans worried The Menace had been ditched, noting he was not on the show "yet again" - reports Mirror Online.
One tweeted: "Has Darragh just not recorded many post-lockdown episodes? This is ridiculous."
While another asked: "Have they sacked The Menace?"
After more than 11 years on ITV, The Chase welcomed Darragh to the show in November.
The Irish quizmaster, 47, joined fellow Chasers Mark ‘The Beast’ Labbett, Shaun ‘The Dark Destroyer’ Wallace, Anne ‘The Governess’ Hegerty, Paul ‘The Sinnerman’ Sinha and Jenny ‘The Vixen’ Ryan.

Darragh was previously a contestant himself where he impressed with his general knowledge.
Outside of being excellent at quizzes, he is a postdoctoral researcher at Oxford University - specialising in the study of the brains of insects.
His first appearance on the show broke records with a whopping 4.9million people tuning at tea time to watch his debut.
