Missing Scots teenager Kai Rae has been spotted boarding a train to London, Police Scotland have revealed.

Police are desperately searching for the missing 16-year-old who vanished one week ago.

He was reported missing from his home in the Castle Chimmins Road area of Cambuslang at around 8.50am on November 23.

Kai, who is a student at Anniesland College in Glasgow, was wearing a dark blue or black zipped hoodie and dark blue jogging bottoms when he disappeared.

He is believed to have packed extra clothing and cash before leaving his home.

Extensive searches have been carried out in the local area by kindhearted residents alongside his friends and family.

His disappearance is described as ‘completely out of character’ and concern for his welfare continues to grow.

Inspector Stephen McManus said: "Following extensive CCTV enquiries, we have established that Kai boarded a train to the London area on Monday, 23 November.

"We are working with British Transport Police and the Metropolitan Police as part of our enquiries to trace him."

Rangers legend Paul Gascoigne has also issued an appeal for Kai to return home.
