A British man with autism whose disappearance in Australia raised fears for his safety has been found safe and well, Victoria police said.
Benjamin Wyatt went missing after visiting a beach in Melbourne with his family on Tuesday.
Victoria police, which had previously expressed “grave concerns for his welfare” said on Wednesday that the 34-year-old from Bath was back with his family.
It tweeted: “A big thank you to everyone that assisted in the search for Benjamin Wyatt! He is safe and well and has been reunited with his family.”

Wyatt disappeared after his family left him in the car park at Half Moon Bay, Black Rock, about 2.15pm on Tuesday while they went to collect their car. When they returned he had gone.
An extensive police search of the area by land, sea and air initially failed to trace him although there had been some unconfirmed sightings of Wyatt.
Earlier on Wednesday, at a press conference, his mother, Diana had made an emotional appeal for his return.
“Ben has never had a night out on his own before,” she said. “He knows I worry like anything. I’m the world’s worst worrier, and Ben, if you’re listening, if you’re watching, come back.
“He’s just a really nice guy to have around and I miss him. My life is empty.”
The family had recently arrived in Melbourne, their last stop as they travelled around Australia, and had been due to leave the country on Thursday, according to reports.
Wyatt’s father, Phil, had fought back tears at the press conference as he said: “Keep an eye out for him please. Just let the police know if you find him. Thank you.”
