‘Missing’ British journalist found in Brazil hostel says she doesn’t want to see family

• She reportedly told a friend on 8 February that she was in Sao Paulo and planning to go to Rio de Janeiro before disappearing.
• A missing person report was filed on 17 February, and the Brazilian Foreign Press Association expressed concern for her safety.
• Police stated that Ms Peet does not want contact with her family, and the case has been closed.
