Missing boy, 9, vanishes in Scots town as 'concerns growing'

An urgent search has been launched for a missing nine-year-old Scots boy.

Austin McGovern has been reported missing from Dunbar, East Lothian, and was last seen near Rowan Street, shortly after 7pm on Friday evening.

The youngster was wearing a red T-shirt and black jogging bottoms when he disappeared. He is described as being 4ft4, white and of stocky build, with light brown hair.

Concern is growing for his welfare as officers desperately try to trace him.

Police are urging anyone with information on Austin's whereabouts, or who may have seen him, to get in touch.

Information can be passed to officers by calling 101 and quoting incident number 4077 of the 9th September.
