Missing Belfast man John Burns' family 'worried for his welfare'

Police are appealing for help to find a 61-year-old man who went missing from his family home.

John Burns lives in a Belfast city centre apartment with his wife and son and is described as around 5ft 10 with greying hair.

His family is understood to be increasingly "worried for his welfare".

A PSNI North Belfast spokesperson said: "Police and the family of missing Belfast man, 61-year-old John Burns, are becoming increasingly concerned for his whereabouts.



"John was last seen in his home in Belfast City Centre on the night of Wednesday 24 July.



"He is described as being 5’10” tall, of medium build, with brown/grey hair, brown eyes and wearing jeans and a grey three-quarter length coat.



"Police are appealing for John, or anyone who knows of his whereabouts, to contact officers on 101, quoting reference number 292 of 30/07/19."
