Missing Ayrshire man found safe and well within hours of police appeal

Police have thanked members of the public after a missing Saltcoats man was found safe and well within hours of an online appeal.

Officers earlier today issued an plea to trace David Cameron who hadn't been seen since around 9pm on Wednesday, 10 June, in the Lochwood Gardens area.

But this afternoon a Police Scotland spokesperson confirmed he has been traced safe and well, adding: "The public and media are thanked for their assistance."
