A missing Stevenston man who hadn't been in touch with his family for three months has been found safe and well.
William Murphy, 51, was traced earlier today - just hours after cops made an online appeal over his whereabouts.
He was reported missing by his family, who had last heard from in September, on December 8.
There had been unconfirmed sightings of him in the Kilwinning/Three Towns area of North Ayrshire on December 5.
A spokesman for Ayrshire Police Division said: "We would like to thank everyone who has shared the appeal post on our social media account."
