Missing autistic East Kilbride schoolboy found safe and well

A 14-year-old autistic boy has been found safe and well after going missing in East Kilbride.

Police confirmed news that Aiden Lochrie has been traced, hours after an appeal was launched to help find him.

The teenager was reported missing after failing to return home from Duncanrig Secondary in the town yesterday afternoon.

Police Scotland thanked everyone who helped locate Aiden.
