The ARA San Juan, an Argentine naval submarine that disappeared last year with 44 crew members on board, was found by Ocean Infinity, a private American marine tracking contractor, NBC News reports.

Details: Lost 270 miles off Argentina's Patagonia coast, rescuers originally held out hope for finding the crew members alive last November after possibly locating a distress signal. However, as the search wore on with no success, it become clear that the sub's crew had been lost. The wreck was ultimately discovered 2,625 feet below the ocean's surface.
