Missing Allan Bryant's family reveal when they expect to hear if remains found in Glenrothes are his

The distraught family of missing Allan Bryant are waiting in agony to find out if discovered human remains are their son's.

Allan went missing seven years ago without a trace after leaving the Styx nightclub in Glenrothes, Fife in November.

His desperate family have been searching for the then 23-year-old ever since and are now waiting to hear if the recently discovered remains are him.

Cops have now removed the remains while investigations continue (Daily Record)

Police made the grim discovery in the town's Whitehill Industrial Estate at around 5.30pm on Sunday.

Cops have been speaking to the families of local missing people- including the Bryants.

The find has put 'a massive toll' on the family who are desperate for answers to their son's dissapearance.

They hope cops may be able to provide closure next week now they have been moved from the scene.

Allan has not been seen in nearly seven years (Daily Record)

Allan Senior posted on Facebook: "My family had a visit from the police this afternoon the human remains have now been removed from the scene we will not find out if they belong to our son Allan until Monday or Tuesday.

"The waiting continues as you can imagine how distraught my family are and the heartache my family have been going through since they where discovered on Sunday has now taken a massive toll on my family.
