Missing 86-year-old woman found safe

A missing 86-year-old woman who had last been seen in Belmont Terrace on the Northwest Side has been found safe.

Helena Czarnota had last been seen Sunday in the 3300 block of North Panama Avenue, Chicago police said in a missing person alert.

Police canceled the alert Monday, saying that Czarnota was safely located.

No further details were provided.
