An 82-year-old man who went missing from his home in Newcastle has been found, police have confirmed.
Police launched an urgent search to find Walter Lamb, who had not been seen since 7.30am on Sunday.
Officers released a description of the pensioner, from the Walker area, and asked for help from the public to track him down.
Northumbria Police confirmed at 6.24pm that Mr Lamb had been found safe and well.
A tweet from the force said: "Good News!!!! Missing Person Walter Lamb has been located. His family have been informed.
"Many Thanks to all of those who have shared the posts and provided information to assist in the search."
