Missing 15-year-old girl in Co Down sparks police appeal

Police are appealing for help locating a missing 15-year-old girl who was last seen on Sunday evening.

Officers in Co Down say they are growing concerned for the wellbeing Amy Dutton who has been missing since September 12.

An appeal was launched on social media early on Monday morning and it's believed Amy may be in Newry or Bessbrook.

A PSNI spokesperson added: "Amy was last seen wearing black leggings, black trainers and a light coloured hoody.

"She has long dark brown hair with blonde streaks. If you see Amy or know where she is, please contact us on 101 and quote reference 1959 of 12/09/2021."

Meanwhile, a 33-year-old missing in Co Derry was last seen nine days ago, police have said.

Emmett Dillon, 33, was last in contact with his family on Friday, September 3.

He left his apartment at 12.15am in the Conars Court, Crawford Square area of Derry.

A PSNI spokesman said: "Emmett was last seen wearing all black clothing and had a backpack.

"If you have any information that might assist police in locating Emmett, please contact 101 quoting reference 1841-07/09/21."
