Missing schoolboy who was last seen getting on a bus has been found dead in a south London wood
(Picture: Handout)A 14-year-old schoolboy has been found dead after going missing on his way home.
Officers were called at 10.51am on Thursday morning to Dene Avenue, Sidcup, and found an “unresponsive” male in a wood who was pronounced dead at the scene and identified as Jamie Daniel.
A Met Police spokesman said: “The male has been formally identified as 14-year-old Jamie Daniel, who had been reported missing from Bexley. We ask that his family’s privacy is respected at this very difficult time.
“The death is currently being treated as unexplained while enquiries continue. A file will be prepared for the Coroner.”
The schoolboy was last seen at around 4pm on Wednesday, May 11, getting on a 132 bus from Eltham after he left school.
