A missile landed just a few feet away from a British journalist as he was reporting live from Lebanon.
Footage shared by Russian state broadcaster RT on Thursday (19 March) shows Steve Sweeney, its Lebanon bureau chief, running for cover as an explosion detonated behind him.
Sweeney and his cameraman Ali Rida were sent flying to the ground as a result of the blast, where they can be heard cursing and groaning in pain.
RT confirmed that the pair had "miraculously survived" and were being treated in hospital for shrapnel damage.
"War journalists are not legitimate targets. We pray for them,” Margarita Simonyan, the editor-in-chief of RT said online.
