Colombia may still be recovering from the shock of watching its beauty queen unceremoniously dethroned during Miss Universe, but it seems host Steve Harvey has finally seen the funny side of things.
Harvey had contestants holding their breath and Miss Colombia in floods of tears after announcing her as the winner, only to realise he had crowned the wrong woman Miss Universe 2015.
Flowers, sash and crown were hurriedly snatched back and handed to the actual winner, Miss Philippines, sending the world into a frenzy over the blunder. Harvey described his devastation in a series of tweets and Instagram posts apologising profusely for making the error. Days after the furore began to subside, he seems to have found the funny side of the debacle, captioning this picture: “Merry Easter y'all!”
Harvey might be in a more jocular mood after producers hinted they could offer him a second shot at presenting the pageant in 2016.
