Miss Finland becomes 14th woman to accuse Donald Trump of sexual assault

The women who have accused Donald Trump of sexually assaulting and grabbing them, have come from various geographic locations. The latest woman to make the allegation comes from Finland.

Former Miss Finland Ninni Laaksonen, 30, told the Ilta-Sanomat newspaper the Republican presidential nominee touched her before she appeared on a television show in New York in 2006.

“He really grabbed my butt,” said Ms Laaksonen, who said Mr Trump was a "slimy man". “I don’t think anybody saw it, but I flinched and thought, ‘What is happening’.”

The accusation follows a stream of allegations of inappropriate conduct by Mr Trump that have been made by more than a dozen women. Mr Trump has denied the claims, which started after video footage from 2005 emerged in which the Republican candidate bragged about groping women and getting away with it because of his celebrity. He has threatned to sue his accusers.

Mr Trump has claimed that the women making the accusations are seeking publicity. He has also dismissed several of the accusers, suggesting they were not attractive enough for his attentions.

Reuters said Ms Laaksonen could not be reached for comment on Friday. She said the assault happeened before she was due to appear on the The Late Show with David Letterman.
