The second series of offbeat superhero drama Misfits launched with nearly 1 million viewers on E4 last night, Thursday 11 November.
Misfits attracted an average of 950,000 viewers and a 5.4% audience share on E4 from 10pm. Another 163,000 (1.7%) watched an hour later on E4 +1.
This was more than double the E4 launch audience for the first series of the show, with attracted 447,000 in November last year. The E4 +1 audience for last year's first episode was 166,000.
Elsewhere in multichannel yesterday, Sky1's An Idiot Abroad concluded its eight-part run with 1.076 million (4.6%) from 10pm.
Multichannel competition for the two shows included ITV2's One Night Stand with Pixie Lott (9pm: 317,000/1.4%) and Celebrity Juice (10pm: 715,000/3.7%).
BBC3's Thursday night offerings included EastEnders: the Greatest Weddings (8pm: 486,000/2%), dyslexia documentary Kara Tointon: Don't Call Me Stupid (9pm: 764,000/3.3%) and Russell Howard's Good News (10.30pm: 745,000/4.6%).
Other 9pm multichannel shows included BBC4's Battlefield Poet: Keith Douglas (116,000/0.5%) and Living's Nikita (259,000/1.1%).
