Miscreants attack Union minister V Muraleedharan’s residence in Thiruvananthapuram

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Unknown miscreants attacked the house of Union minister of state for external affairs V Muraleedharan in Kerala capital Thiruvananthapuram.

The incident, which occurred on Wednesday night, was reported by the housemaid who reached the residence on Thursday morning.

Two window panes were found smashed with stones and blood drops were also seen near the broken windows.

There was no one in the house when the incident occurred.

The minister, a native of Thalassery in Kannur, uses this residence near Bala Subrahmanya Swamy temple at Kochulloor in the outskirts of the city whenever he is in the state capital.

The minister’s office in the city also functions in the same premises.

A police team from the Medical College police station supervised by DCP V Ajith is probing the incident.

The police said that it is being suspected that it was an attempt for theft.

A forensic team will also examine the premises, it is reliably learned.
