Mischievous pigeon that 'deposited' on Dublin Junior Cert students during exam flees test centre

A pigeon that caused havoc during a Junior Cert exam on Thursday has found its way out of an exam hall.

Students in St. Mary's College in Rathmines, south Dublin were left a little surprised when a troublesome pigeon found its way into their exam hall as they sat a religion paper.

Dublin Live reports that busy bird somehow managed to navigate its way into the exam hall and managed to leave 'deposits' on a few students papers.

The school tweeted on Thursday evening that Friday morning's German exam would be moved to a different exam centre if the bird was still in the building.

Students were also reassured that they would not be marked down for 'poor presentation' after the bird left its mark on one or two papers.

St. Mary's tweeted: "Junior Cert Notice - If the pigeon remains in the exam hall tomorrow (Friday), the German exam will be moved to the study."

"They also went on to add that any "candidates today (Thursday) whose RE papers were deposited upon by the pigeon, will not lose marks for poor presentation."

it now appears that the crisis has been averted after St. Mary's provided an update confirming that the pigeon has left the building this morning.

On Friday morning St Mary's tweeted: "The pigeon has left the building. We wish it a long and happy summer. German exam today at 9:30 in the usual venue."
