Miriam O'Callaghan to step-in for Ryan Tubridy on The Late Late Show

Miriam O'Callaghan will host tonight's Late Late Show with Ryan Tubridy unable to work due to illness.

Due to a persistent cough, Ryan is adhering to best practice and staying away from the show - he has also been absent from his RTE Radio One show since Wednesday which Oliver Callan has been hosting.

Miriam said: "I'm delighted to be able to step in tonight and present the Late Late Show. We have to keep the show on the road. Best wishes to Ryan."

The Late Late Show will air tonight at the usual time of  9:35pm on RTÉ One.

The show will pay tribute to the men and women of Ireland's National Frontline Services who have been bravely leading the fight to slow down and treat the spread of Coronavirus.

Viewers around the country will then be invited to join in a collective round of applause for our frontline service heroes.

Global superstar Hozier, footballer Lee Duffy who has been struck down with Covid-19, Brendan O'Carroll and wife Jennifer Gibney, rugby legend Brian O'Driscoll and legendary GAA commentator Mícheál Ó Muircheartaigh will all feature on the show.
