Miriam O'Callaghan to present Late Late Show again as Ryan Tubridy recovers from coronavirus

Miriam O'Callaghan will once again present The Late Late show tomorrow as Ryan Tubridy recovers from the coronavirus.

She took over the show last week after Ryan Tubridy chose to self isolate with a persistent cough, that was later confirmed to be COVID-19.

Miriam was a hit with viewers last week, and became the first woman in history to present the show.

Ryan Tubridy said: "I want to thank everyone for their good wishes over the past number of days. I am very grateful to be through this virus, and, to keep safe I will be adhering to best practice and not be returning to work until next week.

“I am acutely aware that other people are going through much more serious pain and I want to send them my warmest wishes at this difficult time. Miriam did a great job last Friday, as I'm sure she will tomorrow night, and I want to thank her and the team for keeping the show on the road."

Tomorrow’s show will feature Michael Prendergast, a 28-year-old from Kerry who was hospitalised with Covid-19, speaking on his illness and recovery.

CEO of ALONE Sean Moynihan, will also discuss the increase in calls to the service by concerned elderly who are living alone, and Dublin singer Gavin James will perform.

The show will also feature Love Island presenter Laura Whitmore, musician with The Dubliners John Sheahan and online fitness instructor Joe Wicks.
