Miriam Margolyes brands Matt Hancock a 'vile adulterous creep' in blistering rant

Miriam Margolyes has slammed "vile" Matt Hancock who is currently appearing on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! while parliament are still sitting.

The Harry Potter superstar has amassed a new legion of fans thanks to her outbursts, which often leave television bosses speechless.

However, the British-Australian actress has hit out at the disgraced former Health Secretary who breached his own coronavirus lockdown rules.

Hancock, 44, cheated on his wife of 15 years with an office worker of his, while telling Brits they were not allowed to mix with people from other households.

Despite people being arrested for mixing households, he recently insisted he never broke any laws, only the guidance he had set out.

But this irritated Miriam during an appearance on Ireland's The Six O'Clock Show, as she fumed: "What a vile personality, what an appalling, adulterous creep.

"Why we have him on our televisions I don't know, I don't know why he was thought of as a proper person to entertain.

"He's a vile human being!" before claiming: "He nearly destroyed our national health service."

The 81-year-old continued: "He sent loads of people with Covid, old ladies, back into their care homes, I think he's a detestable, vile, puny individual.

"How anybody can let him be their lover, I don't know.

"I think he's vile, and I think the same of most of that government."

Since the interview, footage has gone viral on social media with many praising Miriam for her outburst, with one saying: "Summed it up rather well, I'd say. Nice one."

"I agree with her 100%," tweeted a second.

A third commented: "Please don't change a bit, Miriam. You've been brought up in conversation a few times with friends and family and everyone just loves you."

"Go on Miriam say it as it is. We love you for it," echoed another.

Earlier this week, the Chester-born MP addressed his cheating scandal for the first time on I'm A Celeb, admitting he had been through "tough times" since his affair with Gina Coladangelo came to light.

The dalliance, which was exposed after he was caught on CCTV canoodling with his aide at the Department of Health HQ during the pandemic, ended his marriage and cost him his job as Health Secretary.

Speaking about the aftermath, Hancock admitted he "messed up and fessed up" to his wife of 15 years Martha and the public.

Hancock said: "It's obviously been really tough. I messed up and I fessed up. I resigned it's no excuse but I fell in love, right?

"That also had a lot of other consequences as well".
