Miriam Margolyes brands I'm A Celeb's Matt Hancock a 'vile adulterous creep'

Miriam Margolyes has called I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here 's Matt Hancock a 'vile adulterous creep'.

The Harry Potter superstar, who played Professor Sprout in the film, has gathered a new fan base for her outbursts some of which on TV leaving producers and presenters speechless.

And she certainly wasn't holding back on her thoughts about the Tory MP being Down Under in the Australian jungle.

Hancock, 44, cheated on his wife of 15 years with an office worker of his, while telling Brits they were not allowed to mix with people from other households.

Despite people being arrested for mixing households, he recently insisted he never broke any laws, only the guidance he had set out, writes The Mirror.

But this irritated Miriam during an appearance on Ireland's The Six O'clock Show, as she fumed: "What a vile personality, what an appalling, adulterous creep.

"Why we have him on our televisions I don't know, I don't know why he was thought of as a proper person to entertain.

"He's a vile human being!" before claiming: "He nearly destroyed our national health service."

The 81-year-old continued: "He sent loads of people with Covid, old ladies, back into their care homes, I think he's a detestable, vile, puny individual.

"How anybody can let him be their lover, I don't know. I think he's vile, and I think the same of most of that government."

Since the interview, footage has gone viral on social media with many praising Miriam for her outburst, with one saying: "Summed it up rather well, I'd say. Nice one."

"I agree with her 100%," tweeted a second.

A third commented: "Please don't change a bit, Miriam. You've been brought up in conversation a few times with friends and family and everyone just loves you."

"Go on Miriam say it as it is. We love you for it," echoed another.

Earlier this week, the Chester-born MP addressed his cheating scandal for the first time on I'm A Celeb, admitting he had been through "tough times" since his affair with Gina Coladangelo came to light.

I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! 2022 continues on Sunday on STV and STV Player.
