Miriam at Cell 200: Everything you need to know

Miriam is a new club night, with a versatile, fresh approach to minimal and tech house.

Miriam Records was launched by cool kids about town: Benson Herbert, Felix Radford and Harry Royds. This high-energy, music-loving threesome have worked hard to create a distinctive sound and an exciting underground feel. The club night they have created is all about the next generation of DJs and producers.

This Friday, Miriam will take place at secret night spot Cell 200 in King's Cross. Cell 200 is underground and fairly unknown, it's been kept under wraps to keep it authentic despite it being owned by Egg. It has a 24-hour music licence, a proper warehouse vibe and a Funktion One sound system.

The music you'll expect to hear is described by the Miriam boys as "the sounds coming out of Romania at the moment but with a sexier, more playful edge". They have booked Andy Kowles as their headlining act a gutsy, forward-thinking DJ from Cologne who loves playing on vinyl and never prepares a set. His music has gained recognition from Ricardo Villalobos and Zip, and has had top releases on labels Pressure Traxx, Musik and his own label Anyway. Support comes from Miriam residents, Benson Herbert and Charlie Banks, who have been supported by the likes of Raresh and Archie Hamilton. They'll be playing their signature stripped-back tech house until the early hours.

Expect a great night out, an exciting buzz and the opportunity to see the rising stars on the electronic scene. Be sure to book online or arrive at the door early as the last party was a sell-out with crowds eventually being turned away.
