A malnourished puppy was rescued from the top of a chimney after being spotted peering out of the roof by a neighbour.
Animal welfare charity Michigan Humane teamed up with the Detroit Fire Department to save the animal who had become stuck in the chimney of the abandoned property, which officials said was falling apart.
Video footage shows fire crews using their engine’s ladder to reach the puppy and safely bringing it back down to the ground.
The puppy, who the fire department named Slack, was then taken to a shelter where he remains after receiving medical care.
