A driver somehow escaped without injury after a piece of farm equipment smashed through the window of a car and impaled the windscreen in a three-vehicle collision. The road was closed for some time while police investigated and organised clean-up after the crash on the A488 at Wagbeach near Minsterley, Shropshire.
A tractor with a trailer, a horsebox and the car collided and police said the drivers were "very lucky" not to have been injured.
South Shropshire Safer Neighbourhood Team tweeted: "SNT from Bishops Castle attended an RTC on the A488 at Wagbeach involving a tractor and agri trailer, van and horsebox and this car.
"No injuries reported. Drivers were very lucky. Road was closed whilst it was dealt with."
