India's star weightlifter Mirabai Chanu won women's 48kg title on Sunday, bagging the maiden gold medal for the country in Glasgow Commonwealth Games 2026.
The victory marked Chanu's third consecutive Commonwealth Games gold, having also topped the podium in the 2018 and 2022 editions. The Tokyo Olympics silver medallist had earlier won silver at the 2014 Games.
