There is far more to minute taking than being able to write quickly. In reality, the process presents a unique set of challenges, including making sense of crosstalk, identifying key statements and ensuring factual accuracy. This hands-on course teaches skills that will enable you to draft succinct and effective notes – and that also take the hard slog out of minute writing.
Through a series of discussions and practical exercises, tutor Jane Smith will develop your skill and confidence in taking notes and producing minutes that effectively record discussions and decisions made during meetings. The course covers all aspects of the minute writing process including how to use active listening skills to ensure accuracy; techniques to help summarise information effectively; time management strategies, and how to write your notes up into a useful document. Soon, rather than seeing writing minutes as a terrible chore, you'll instead recognise it as an opportunity to develop your skills and enhance your visibility in your organisation.
This course is for you if...
