BHOPAL: A 15-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a 20-year-old youth in Sukhi-Sewania. On Sunday morning, when the survivor's condition started deteriorating, her family members shifted her to a hospital, where doctors declared her nine months pregnant. There she gave a birth to a child and later, a case of rape was registered under relevant sections of IPC and POCSO Act and the accused was taken into police custody.
The survivor stated in her complaint that she came in contact with the accused neighbour around two years ago. He befriended her and in March 2020, he allegedly raped her, threatening to kill her family members if she revealed the incident to anyone.
Meanwhile in another incident reported at AJK police station, a 33-year-old woman was allegedly raped by a man in Piplani locality.
The survivor stated in her complaint that around three years ago, she came in contact with the accused. After their friendship, the accused offered her a job and later promised to marry her. On the pretext of marriage, he outraged her modesty and when she pressurised the accused to marry her, he went back on his words.
