A minor hurling game in Dublin was abandoned after an alleged assault on a match official.

The match between Fionnbarra and Clanna Gael Fontenoy at Sean Moore Park in Sandymount was called off during the second half after an umpire was treated for injuries by medics at the venue.

A Garda spokesperson said: "Gardaí received report of an alleged incident at a GAA sports ground in Dublin 4 this afternoon Sunday, 5th March 2023. Enquiries are ongoing at this time."
