Minor Hotels, an international hotel owner, operator and investor from Thailand, recently won an unprecedented number of accolades in recognition of exceptional architecture, design and guest experiences from the jury of the third LIV Hospitality Design Awards. The jury of 41 comprises architects, designers, hoteliers, developers and leaders in the fields of architectural and interior design.

Launched in 2020 as a platform rewarding exceptional projects, the annual LIV Hospitality Design Awards celebrates the quality and diversity of architectural ventures and interior design projects shaping the worldwide hospitality industry today.

Out of 24 wins worldwide, Thai properties took home a handful of awards. Seen Beach Club Samui won in the Architecture — Eating Space categories. Anantara Chiang Mai Resort was the Jury's Top Pick in the Architecture — Living Space categories, while Jungle Bubble Lodge at Anantara Golden Triangle Elephant Camp & Resort, Avani Chaweng Samui Hotel & Beach Club and, again, Anantara Chiang Mai Resort were named winners.

In the Interior Design — Eating Space categories, Anantara Layan Phuket's Age Restaurant, Avani+ Riverside Bangkok Hotel's Seen Restaurant & Bar Bangkok, Anantara Siam Bangkok's Guilty Restaurant Bangkok, Anantara Layan Phuket Resort's The Beach House and Avani+ Riverside Bangkok Hotel's Lost And Found were all named winners.

Seen Beach Club Samui.

Avani Chaweng Samui's Seen Beach Club Samui, a recent addition to Koh Samui’s bustling Chaweng Beach, is a circular casual restaurant that lights up in neon after dark and features indoor and outdoor seating areas, three bars, private cabanas, two turquoise pools surrounded by large cushioned daybeds and a custom-designed outdoor DJ booth. On the more serene side, Anantara Chiang Mai Resort, designed by legendary architect Kerry Hill and recently renovated, is a lush riverside retreat centred on the old British consulate building that today houses The Service 1921 Restaurant and Bar with interiors inspired by MI6.

LIV Hospitality Design Awards strive to foster a global community of forward-thinking designers, who are committed to shaping the future of hospitality design and saw a record number of applications in its third edition.
